Generative AI is changing the world. There’s no denying it. Chat GPT, Elon Musk’s Grok, China’s DeepSeek, and other generative AI programs can now be used to do complex research, paraphrase and rewrite content, make creative graphics and more.

AI will replace a lot of jobs and types of workers. One task that is likely to be replaced by AI is CV / resume writing. Job seekers can easily create a resume using a simple prompt. So what type of prompt should you use to create your resume using AI? There is no need to look for complex, wordy prompts. You don’t need a paragraph description or even several lines. In addition, generative AI programs allow you to further customize the resume for specific roles and industries.

Of course, you will have to edit the details to ensure they match your qualifications and work experience. But this should be a simple job of swapping out one phrase, job title, or company name for another.

Will there still be a need for professional resume writers? Yes. This job won’t go away altogether. Specifically when job seekers are not sure about their career path or don’t know which skills and experience are important for their career or job search, they will need to consult with an expert career advisor.
